On October 14th, Kaleidoscope will be performing Cinderella at Westborough High School in Westborough,MA. The show is at 2:00pm and is open to the public! Tickets are now on sale for $8.00 and can be purchased by calling Jackie Semalis at (508) 756-6519.

This performance is being used as a fundraiser to support Westborough Special Education, please come and show your support for a worthy cause!

Hello! Just wanted to remind everyone that the RSVP deadline for the 30th Anniversary Party is quickly approaching! Please send in your responses by 9/30/07. If you have not received an invitation and would like to attend…please visit our website here and download a pdf version!

Also on our website, there are online forms where you can submit your name and the roles you played in the past - help us remember 30 years of casting, crew, and concessions!

We are also looking for volunteers to help out with the set up, clean up, and running of the party. If you’d be willing to volunteer some of your time either before the party, after the party, or during the party (running sound, taking photos, manning the video camera etc…) please let us know! Thanks so much (in advance).

30th Anniversary Party!!

Goldilocks & the Three Bears!

Come with us on a delightful romp through the traditional tale of Goldilocks, but be prepared for a new twist at the end! Did you ever wonder what happened after Goldilocks ran all the way home? Well, we answer that question in a fresh and fun way and teach some lessons about proper manners, too -- this is a show you just can't bear to miss!

Week Six: The Three Pigs

Come join us, as the three pigs try to make it onto America’s Barnyard Idol! But watch out for that big, bad Elvis-loving wolf who has stolen their ticket to the big audition! Can they get their ticket back in time? Can Mama Pig save them from the Wolf? Will the Pigs make it big in show business? There's lots of music and laughter in this original take on The Three Pigs – tons of fun for everyone!

Splash! Young Prince Noble is having a really bad day - a smelly Gypsy woman is in love with him, he gets pushed down a well, and then he’s transformed into an icky green frog! Now instead of traveling the land looking for a beautiful wife, he's short, green, and hoping to catch a fly for dinner!

Will Prince Noble learn a lesson in humility and win the lovely Princess Cassandra’s heart? Watch as plots twist, stories intertwine, and all the characters discover that Happy Endings can happen when you least expect them!

Siara to appear in 48 hour film project!

Siara Padilla (this summer's Ziggy Piggy in The Three Pigs) recently performed in a movie created as part of the 48 Hour Film Project! The film, Just a Conversation, will be screened this Thursday at 7:00pm at the Columbus Theatre... come see the film and vote for your favorite 48 Hour project! This Week at Kaleidoscope!

Come join us this week for the debut of our brand new musical, Cinderella, Too! This fun-filled show picks up right where Cinderella left off!

Cinderella's excitement over her upcoming wedding to the Prince is soon overshadowed by the sudden appearance of the Spanish Ambassador with an ancient document betrothing the Princess of Spain to Prince Charming. But where does that leave Cinderella? Is Spain really involved, or are Stepmother and the Stepsisters scheming again? With exciting new music and amazing dance numbers, Cinderella, Too! will be a ton of fun for everyone!

For anyone who was unable to make our performance of Snow White at RIC - we do have another local performance coming up! On Thursday, July 19th, at 11:00am we will be performing Snow White at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro, MA (which is only 30 minutes from Providence). On August 17th at 6:30pm, we will be returning to the Orpheum for a peformance of Cinderella.

Week Two: ALICE IN WONDERLAND!

Kaleidoscope will continue it's 2007 Summer Series with Alice in Wonderland at Rhode Island College this Tuesday, July 17th! Showtime is 11:00am and admission is $8.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door. This original musical adaptation of the famous Lewis Carroll story is by David G. Payton (Kaleidoscope's Executive Director) and is filled with all the wonderful characters you have come to know and love in the book. When Alice leaves behind Dinah, her kitten, and follows that strange White Rabbit, she gets more adventure than she could ever have dreamed! There's the Duchess and her Pepper Soup, a baby that turns into a pig, the Queen of Hearts (who's rather cross!) and a Cheshire Cat who keeps leaving his smile behind! Kaleidoscope Theatre's musical adaptation of this Lewis Carroll classic is a great favorite with something for everyone! Kaleidoscope will kick off its 30th anniversary season with a performance of Snow White this Tuesday at Rhode Island College! The show will begin at 11:00am at Robert's Hall Auditorium. As part of Kaleidoscope's 30th anniversary celebration, fairytale characters will be appearing every Saturday at Homestead Gardens (200 Industrial Dr., North Smithfield, RI) from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. These characters will be on hand to greet fans, sign autographs, and pose for pictures. Each Saturday, a winner of two free tickets to Kaleidoscope's next show will be chosen from those that sign up for our monthy online newsletter!
