Summer Series - Chevrolet Theatre

Kaleidoscope is very sad to announce that the Chevrolet Theatre has cancelled the remaining performances scheduled for this summer.

With the economic recession, tickets were not selling well enough for the Chevrolet theater to be able to produce the series this summer. We enjoy the fans and the wonderful crew of people at the Chevrolet Theatre very much and hope to return there for Cinderella's Christmas in December.

We don't want to disappoint any more children than necessary, so we hope Connecticut fans can join us at our venue in Rhode Island! The shows happen in Roberts Hall Auditorium on the Rhode Island College campus in Providence. The exact same series of shows (that was scheduled at the Chevrolet Theatre) will be offered on Tuesday mornings at 11:00am! This Tuesday we will be performing Sleeping Beauty.

Ironically, our season opener in Rhode Island on Tuesday almost sold out, so if you plan to make the trip up here, it would be a good idea to contact us by email (kaleidoscope@kaleidoscopetheatre.com) or at (401) 942-3637 to reserve tickets in advance. We'd hate to have anyone drive up from Connecticut only to be disappointed again!

Let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks,
~The Kaleido-Staff

This is very disappointing. We had tickets to all the shows this summer and we were really looking forward to it! Although, I must say, my Mom, my 6 year old daughter and myself attended Aladdin today and the theater looked VERY full...it's kind of hard to believe that the shows were cancelled due to a "lack of ticket sales". It's also a shame because I was going to suggest Kaleidoscope theater bullying production to the PTO at my daughter's school, however, this sudden cancellation of all shows has left me feeling like it's not really such a great idea afterall.

Unfortunately, Kaleidoscope had no control over the decision to cancel the series. The decision was made by the Chevrolet Theatre due to a lack of camp sales.

We would love to perform BULLY at your daughters school! If you didn't already pick up a $100 off coupon, contact me and we'll make sure her school can take advantage of that offer.

We're also honoring the $6 Chevy price at our venue in Rhode Island. If you'd like to make the drive, please contact us directly by emailing kaleidoscope@kaleidoscopetheatre.com so we can reserve your tickets.

Thank you for your understanding,

I can't tell you how disappointing this is. After taking my daughter to your plays, we would reenact the stories for the entire year until the next summer came. I wanted to purchase tickets this year to take my three year old as well. It was refreshing to be able to get good seats for a price families can actually afford. I truly hope you will be back next year and that this is not the end of an era!!!
Thank you for the entertainment you have provided over all these years.
